State Library of South Australia used visitor flow information from Beonic’s Traffic Pro solution to plan elements of its $41.2 million redevelopment in 2003.
The redevelopment of the State Library of South Australia’s aimed to attract a 10 per cent increase in visitors each year. To gauge the success of the project, the library needed a reliable method of recording and analysing visitor traffic flow.
Beonic provided its Australian-developed fully integrated Traffic Pro people counting system, with advanced infrared beam sensors, traffic recording units and functional analysis software.
The State Library used visitor flow information from Beonic’s Traffic Pro to plan elements of its redevelopment as well as to measure the success of exhibitions, determine required staffing levels and to provide valuable information to its tenants in the upgraded facility.
Beonic provided objective statistical evidence of traffic, from before and after the library’s redevelopment, to enable it to gauge the success of the project. As well as demonstrating the value of the State Government’s investment, Beonic assists the Library to plan day-to-day operations and future development.
