At the Australian Information Industry Association’s annual “night of nights” Federal Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts the Hon. Helen Coonan presented Beonic with a coveted iAward for Traffic Insight, which was recognised as Australia’s most innovative business technology application.
Beonic’s success was from a shortlist that included the Commonwealth Bank Wealth Management for Proxima Technology Centauri and Energetics for EnTERPRIZE.EM.
Beonic Executive Director Clyde McConaghy said the iAward represented an independent commendation for the value that Beonic was contributing to Australia’s retail sector. “We’re providing an innovative retail intelligence system that equips stores to work more effectively,” he said. “This award not only represents Beonic, but also our world-renowned clients because they’re using an award-wining product.”
Beonic’s world-leading Traffic Insight retail intelligence system assists retailers to learn how to convert store visitors into actual customers. Beonic reports enable retailers to make more effective decisions about advertising, merchandising and checkout service levels, leading to happier customers, more sales and greater profit.
Clients using Beonic technology include IKEA, Hutchison ‘3’ stores, Angus & Robertson Bookshops, Jeans West and Adidas as well as Mirvac, AMP, Gandel and Centro shopping centres, the Sydney Opera House, Sydney's Queen Victoria Building and Melbourne’s Federation Square.
The iAwards were presented on Wednesday, May 25, as a highlight of the annual CeBIT technology show, held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. The iAwards gala dinner was attended by more than 1000 leaders from the IT industry.
The selection of VIP judges came from the CSIRO, AIIA, National ICT Australia (NICTA), the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, plus representatives from educational institutions, the ICT industry and the media in Australia.
The iAwards are presented by AIIA, the Australian Financial Review and the CSIRO ICT Centre. For the full list of winners, visit www.aiia.com.au. More information about Traffic Insight and Beonic’s entry-level Traffic Pro can be found at www.beonic.com.
