Beonic Directional IR Beam
One of Beonic's most popular products. The Directional IR Beam Sensor has been designed and manufactured by Beonic to allow directional counting for narrow doorways or areas where an overhead sensor cannot be mounted.
Beonic IR Sensors are custom
designed, state-of-the-art
infra-red sensors.
The sensors are high speed,
compact devices of robust
construction, they are reliable and
easily installed. They are
inconspicuous and suitable
for most types of door frames
and walls.
The Beonic Directional IR Beam Sensors utilise
the Beonic Event Logger to
supply power, as well as their
functional settings.
The Beonic Directional IR Beam Sensor provides for three counting modes all from the
one sensor type.
- Proximity
- Directional
- Though Beam
The Beonic Directional IR Beam sensors come in four colous to match the door frames. The colours are Cream, White, Grey and Black.
Beonic XR6 Non-directional Beam
Beonic XR6 Non-driectional sensors are an older technology that is still popular for applications such as counting cars in carparks and other areas where accuracy of count information is not essential.
The XR6 sensor requires a reflector mounted directly opposite the sensor with a maximum distance apart of 6m.This reflector bounces back a signal to the sensor. When this signal is broken, the sensors counts.
This technology is being phased out of most retail environments as the sensor does not handle directional traffic and is not very accurate when used across wider distances. It is still popular in carparking environments where there is a single large object moving slowy through the counting zone.
